Food Junky
August 19, 2007
I’m off to KB later for a farewell BBQ gathering at Yti’s place. Another barbecued food this weekend =) I didn’t get the chance to eat much last week at the birthday party. So I’m getting my stomach empty this afternoon. BBQ is good stuff! And that reminds me how I need to drag myself to the gym and force myself for jogs every morning when I’m back to UK next month. I have been very dormant in terms of health fitness and that’s just unhealthy.
Bashed With Aces

edited.
So I have received my A Level results today.
Further Mathematics - B
Mathematics - A
Chemistry - A
Physics - A
As I predicted. Woohoo! I’m happy like a monkey with a banana. LOL. It was a pity for me to get a B for Further Maths when I only needed 5 more points (out of 600) to get an A. Freaking 5 marks!! Oh well, I couldn’t have done it any better anyways so I just need to learn to sleep on it. At least I have three aces. I can say I’m pretty much satisfied. It’s more than enough to meet the conditional offer from my firm choice University of Nottingham - and that’s why I’m very pleased. Getting a grade stuck has been my ‘trademark’ ever since my first real public examination back in primary school when I get a B on one of the five subjects. It happened again when I sat my PMB examination during my third year in secondary school. So I’m not surprised that I did it again this time.
Oh, Happy Belated 18th Birthday to my girlfriend! The party last weekend was a blast! I got my joints all over my body aching the day after. I’m pretty knackered by the end of the day with my right thumb got badly bruised after getting it stuck between a knot while sliding down the wet bouncer. Now that’s awful enough. I suspect a fractured joint but I haven’t been able to go to the hospital to get a check-up. It’s still bruising. Anyway, many many thanks for the people who came! I’m sure she really appreciates it. You guys made the day!
Pictures during the party have been uploaded to Flickr, so please do check it out.
Signing out.
A Fever For Food & Football
August 5, 2007
I decided not to go to the “Tanglong” car parade at the capital last night, but chose to take my girlfriend to dinner instead at Swensen’s. The setting was lovely and foods were exquisite, and they come with a price although I think it is pretty standard. Majority of foods in Brunei restaurants are relatively much cheaper, actually. That’s why we people love to eat outdoors. Even I went to thirteen different restaurants in a week after I arrived home about a month ago. They were splendid!
Football season starts next week! I really hope Liverpool will have a great season this time after spending more than £40 million on new quality players. They needed strikers and bam! Here comes Andriy Voronin and Fernando Torres! Just what we need to chase that Premier League title. I’m definitely going to watch at least one Liverpool match later this year. I’m all psyched up and excited for this.
A level results are out in eleven days. Waiting makes me nervous and knowing that day is approaching closer and closer slowly, it’s is killing me! It’s the only thing I can do for now - wait. I hope my results will meet my university’s conditional offer.
I’m sleepy. Good night, y’all.
On The Move
August 4, 2007
I just don’t feel like blogging much lately. Possibly running out of ideas? I don’t know but I’m guessing I just don’t have the time to sit quietly and write. I’m just always on the move. There are so many things have been happening for the past four weeks I’m home and it’s been awesome for me. Today is my last day at the office. Oh, I’m sure I haven’t mentioned that I have been doing my attachment for the past two weeks at some government ministry where the internet connection is pretty swift! A place where I don’t have to do much work, or rather none at all =p
My girlfriend is having her birthday celebration next week at her crib. Bouncers and barbeque baby! We’ve been discussing about the bouncer package that we’re planning to rent for the day - possibly going to go to the bouncer place later to make the deal. One pool slide bouncer and another large normal bouncer. Those should do it. But I’m looking forward to the smell and taste of the barbeque chicken wings! Those are what I’m craving for now! Last time I had them was during my birthday three years back in 2004. God, this is making me drool. LOL.
Woohoo! I’ve upgraded my Macbook RAM from 512MB to 2GB! I’m loving this. I have never regretted switching to Mac from PC. It is unbelievably addictive, still, after a year, still impressive and I’m proud to own one. Having able to boot Windows XP or Vista is just one of the many features although I very seldom use it since I’ve got everything I need on Mac OS X. I’m still a fan of Windows but I am an Apple fanatic! I just love Macbook’s elegant simple design. It’s a beauty. There’s a new operating system coming up later this year, called Leopard (Currently it’s called Tiger) and it’s the bomb! I watched the sneak peak videos and it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen. It’s certainly something for me to really look forward to this year. Oh, and I’m definitely going to grab that revolutionary iPhone sometimes in the late quarter of the year. Apparently it’s being sold here although without it’s phone features. You can read the review of the iPhone by visiting to this site.
There are plenty of events happening this weekend. Firstly, there’s this “Tanglong” parade at the heart of the capital and a football match at the stadium tonight. I think I’m going to the parade later on with my girlfriend. I’m pretty positive that the traffic there is going to jam by 5pm and not to mention the limited parking spaces. Now that reminds me about YouParkingIdiot. So watch out! For sure I’m going to take some candid pictures of those idiots =p So the plan is to get there by 4, just before government employees finish their work and go chill around bandar until the occasion sets off. Fireworks for the win!
