Thoughts and Illusions

A few weeks have gone and things have been going so exciting around here. First of all, I got myself an Ibanez RG series guitar last month with a pretty good deal on eBay; the guitar, a 10W practice Marshall amp and a BOSS turbo distortion pedal, all for under £200. That’s like the best deal I’ve ever seen. The seller didn’t provide a postage service but, rather, self-collection at his house. Maybe I was being lucky on that day because coincidentally he lives just a few kilometres from my house and he actually offered to send those items himself to my place instead provided if I win them. And I did, and got them on the same day as well =p And from that day, I have been making all the noises in the house (since my room is on the top attic floor =p)

I’m not really a guitarist but why did I even bother to get an electric guitar? Well, I don’t really know the exact reason but it just occurred to me that I want to, and I know that I can play (well, maybe still at the far end of a beginner’s tail). Well, I used to play a bass guitar for my old band a few years back but I don’t think I really got that far with it but to be honest, I enjoyed it. It’s been more than two years since I last play the bass guitar and how rusty have I become now. Now that I’m learning to play a guitar from scratch and things are actually going pretty good, I guess.

Now, let’s get to the good bit. Today, I upgraded my phone contract and got myself my first Nokia phone, N95, for free. Hehe. I was really gambling over which phone to get, whether the Sony Ericsson K850i or N95. Both have got 5MP camera. But since my girlfriend has already got the K850i last two weeks, I decided to get a different phone instead but the one that could match her phone and my only option was the N95. I feel like the iPhone is overrated and expensive despite how badly I had been anticipating it. Ergo, N95 it is then. I was tempted to just wait for the 8GB black version which will be available on O2 from early next year. But…

I can’t wait that long because I am going to Venice during Christmas holiday next month! Well, at least that’s our plan. We’re still in the process of booking the hotel and flight and if all goes well by tomorrow or the day after, then that’s our winter destination. It’s either Venice or Paris. Maybe we’ll go to Paris during Easter next year.

That’s it for now I guess. Oh yeah, I went to Shrewsbury yesterday. Awesome, man.
